This looks like the battle to end the mightiest of wars…

While I’ve yet to see the robotic, futuristic, sequel, I freaking love del Toro’s original. Although not perfect, the 2013 sci-fi epic is a film featuring a solid mix of action set pieces and thought-provoking concepts, Pacific Rim is well worth your time. In fact, I began getting upset when I found out del Toro wouldn’t be returning, but if that freed him up for the masterpiece The Shape of Water, all is well in film land.

But is the sequel any good? I do love me some John Boyega but star power isn’t always a sure fire way to tell is the picture is any good. Honestly, I’ve heard both good and bad things, so the best bet is jumping into a fighting machine and seeing for yourself. And this June, picking up the set is the perfect way to do so.
