At the end of last month, Lucy Lawless appeared at the Napoli Comic Con in Italy. During an interview with Movieplayer.it, she discussed the possibility of a future collaboration with her former co-star Bruce Campbell.

It isn’t a new movie, television series or even an album. In fact, it is something that she has been contemplating but never quite got around to doing. During the course of chatting with the entertainment outlet, she was asked if she spoke with Campbell after the cancellation of Ash vs Evil Dead.

Here is her response; “We didn’t talk about that because my husband (Rob Tapert) is the producer, so I will hear about it. They will talk to each other. Bruce emailed me and said, ‘Hey, Lucy! You want to write a book?’ I went sure, why not? So, that will probably be our next project together.”

The Possibilities

Now, of course, nothing is set in stone. Who knows if it will even come to pass but it is definitely exciting to think about! Everyone knows that Campbell is an accomplished New York Times best selling author.

However, Lucy actually contributed to a book in 1999. The work was an accessory to the 5 Video Lesbian Film Collection – HIGH ART, GIA, WHEN NIGHT IS FALLING, WOMEN FROM DOWN UNDER, I’VE HEARD THE MERMAIDS SINGING . She was one of the featured authors on the following film, Women from Down Under: Lesbian & Award-Winning Shorts from Australia & New Zealand.

Two years ago, Lawless took to Twitter with a question for her fans. “Some dude approached me about writing a book. But wth would I write about?” So, this possibility may have been on her mind for quite some time.

Since Bruce predominantly writes humor it could be conceivable that he and Lucy could do some sort of male-female counterpart book. Maybe in the vein of Make Love the Bruce Campbell Way, they could dispense advice on a variety of subjects.

If this project comes to fruition, no doubt fans will definitely be waiting to purchase this duo’s efforts. Who knows? In the future, Lucy might just be adding best selling author to her impressive list of credentials. Fingers crossed!
