6. Melissa Joan Hart auditioned for the role of Jamie Lloyd
We all probably know Melissa Joan Hart best for her time on the ’90s Nickelodeon series Clarissa Explains It All. Certainly starring on that show did wonders for Hart’s career, and the actress maintains work in the industry to this day. But a casting decision made for Halloween 4 in the late ’80s could have resulted in Hart growing up as a well-known scream queen instead.
According to Wikipedia, the Melissa and Joey actress auditioned for the coveted lead role in the film, that of Jamie Lloyd. If successful, Hart may have entered the world of horror and possibly would never have auditioned for the Nickelodeon show. But as we all know, Danielle Harris was perfect for the part, and has been a mainstay in the horror genre ever since.
