Today is Father’s Day. Here’s to the ones protecting throughout horror history.

Everywhere, families are honoring fathers everywhere. One half of the team holding homes together, good dads are being celebrated and for good reason. Whether it’s teaching a child respect, how to throw a ball, or being the hero to their boys and girls, dad’s are often great in everyday life. But it takes a real father to be there when death comes knocking on your door step.

Since 1428 is the home of horror, we’re taking a look at some of the best dads to grace the genre. Refusing to have their kids in harms way, even in the face of paranormal and frighteningly insurmountable odds, these dads deserves all our Father’s Day gifts.
