Selma Blair, Zoe Saldana, Chris Pratt, Lloyd Kaufman and Dave Bautista have all been very vocal on social media about their feelings on this issue. Goldthwait went one step further. He took to Instagram to ask Disney to remove his voice from their upcoming theme park attraction, “World of Color- Villainous.”

Anyone who is familiar with Bobcat’s stand-up routine knows that back in the day he could be quite controversial. In his words, “You see here’s the deal, years ago I made a lot of sarcastically shocking and offensive jokes.”

Goldthwait also threw some serious shade at the studio regarding their decision to fire Gunn. “I’d hate to make you guys look bad seeing that I’m openly critical of the president and his administration, and you seem to be taking your lead from some of his radical fringe supporters.”

Shots Fired

He’s alluding to some information that has come to light in a recent Vulture article. Apparently, Mike Cernovich, the alternate right media personality who is known for aligning himself with Alex Jones another polarizing pundit, uncovered the director’s tweets from almost a decade ago.

Bobcat also recommended that Disney take a look at conservative actor James Woods’ social media interactions claiming, “They’re a hoot!”  For fans of the studio, Woods voiced Hades in the animated feature, Hercules. Goldthwait was also cast in that film as Pain.

Here is Bobcat’s Instagram post in its entirety:

Disney seems unwavering in their decision to terminate Gunn. It will be interesting to see who else comes to the director’s defense.
