Once Upon A Time in Hollywood is filming in Los Angeles. Let’s go behind the scenes with Quentin Tarantino and company as they recreate the 1960’s.

“I love Los Angeles, and I love Hollywood. They’re beautiful. Everybody’s plastic, but I love plastic. I want to be plastic.” – Andy Warhol

Quentin Tarantino, Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio and Al Pacino have been spotted around L.A. as filming continues on Once Upon A Time in Hollywood. More behind the scenes photos have been released courtesy of the Quentin Tarantino Fan Club on Twitter, Heyday Films and Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE).

When you look at the pictures you feel as if you are back in 1969. The period details are very authentic. Apparently, Tarantino even had a bus retrofitted to look like public transportation from yesterday right down to the ad on the vehicle!

The film tells the story of Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio) a past his prime television star and his stuntman friend, Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt) as they try to deal with the “new” Hollywood scene of the 1960’s.

Although the Manson murders of Sharon Tate and her friends take place at the same time, most of the action centers around Dalton and Booth. The concept is very similar to Spike Lee’s Summer of Sam.

OUATIH was originally slated for release on the 50th anniversary of Sharon Tate’s murder but Heyday Films and Sony Pictures Entertainment decided to open the film earlier on July 26, 2019.

Looks like Tarantino might have another hit on his hands.
