When people think of Ash vs Evil Dead they will invariably remember this show. Why? Where else would you see the lead character go up someone’s rectum?

That’s right! Ash’s search for the Necronomicon results in him being in the morgue. Ruby has hidden the book in one of the corpses and it is up to him to find it. Par for the course with this show, it is in a possessed colon.

Bruce Campbell’s lifelong pal, Rob Tapert was the driving force in getting Ash in that predicament. Gross, yes but extremely funny and you can’t help but laugh out loud. We also get to meet Brock Williams, Ash’s Dad, played by the amazing TV veteran, Lee Majors.

It is very fitting that the actor playing Brock would be best known for portraying a cyborg on a well-known show back in the 70’s (The Six Million Dollar Man). After all, Mr. Majors had a bionic arm while Ash sort of has a bionic hand that Pablo made him.

While Brock is primping for a date with Ash’s old high school teacher, Lillian Pendergrass, the Dean Martin song, Volare can be heard in the background. This Rat Pack number is swinging and a perfect generational fit for the character of Brock.
