3. Ding Dong – Damien N-Drix (S03 E07 Twist and Shout)

Twist and Shout is my second favorite episode in the entire series. Yes, we get another “dumb ass double” of Ash but I still enjoy it.

This song is hardcore party music. I love trance, house and electronica. Ding Dong is played by the DJ and seems like the kind of thing you would hear at a prom.

Evil Ash is wreaking havoc everywhere in the school killing teens right and left. Hero Ash is combing the halls trying to find him so that he can thwart Ruby’s plot to frame him for the murders. Ruby’s motivation is to turn Ash’s daughter, Brandy against him.

What is really fun and I don’t know if it was a bit of direction that Campbell was given but when the music begins, he actually starts walking in time to it. When the two Ashes confront one another, it is an epic showdown.

Meanwhile, confusion reigns for Brandy. Even though Ash killed his demonic doppelganger, she doesn’t know if she can trust him. He is shocked when she pulls a knife on him.

However, she can’t go through with it. Dropping the weapon within Ruby’s grasp was a mistake because Ruby takes advantage of the situation by killing her.
