Dr. Cora Wolf (Portia de Rossi) arrives at the Hammonds, she’s eccentric to say the least, and excited to meet Sheila, (Drew Barrymore). Her supposed cure, is not a true cure, as she can halt Sheila’s condition, but not reverse it. Dr. Wolf says they must act fast, for if Sheila becomes more aggressive she’ll be stuck in that state.

One of the key ingredients however is the bile of a Serbian.

Neighbor boy, Eric, (Skyler Gisondo) is in his element assisting Dr. Wolf in creating the cure, and their daughter Abby, (Liv Hewson) feels useless as she’s sent off to purchase lunch.

Joel (Timothy Olyphant) and Sheila take principal Novak’s grandma (Grace Zabriskie) a bottle of liquor to get her wasted and hopefully vomit for them. Grandma passes out and the Hammonds begin to fight. Shelia goes too far trashing the woman’s house and getting dangerously fierce. The police show up, Sheila runs and Joel gets taken away to the funny-farm.

When Sheila arrives at home, she gets Abby to lock her in the basement for their safety.

Santa Clarita Diet has aired for two seasons on Netflix, proving to be a hit original series for the network. With Season 3 set to premiere in 2019, all we can do now is binge the first two seasons. Will the Hammonds survive this? Tune into Netflix and binge on the Santa Clarita Diet.
