With expectations higher than any horror movie in recent memory, everyone is waiting to see if returning to Haddonfield is worth the year of hype. Well if recent Toronto traveling critics are to be believed, Halloween candy hasn’t been this sweet in 40 years.

While some reviews aren’t great (currently 81% on Rotten Tomatoes), the overwhelming consensus is that treats are on the way. I’m not sure there’s been another horror film as anticipated as the reboot/sequel, it being a once in a lifetime situation. So it’s great knowing most are digging what the rest of us have to wait a month to see. I know I’ll be sleeping better tonight knowing the Boogeyman is back in business and looking for repeat customers.
