7) Cocaine Cowboys II: Hustlin’ With the Godmother – A Dysfunctional Relationship

Charles Cosby figures heavily in the true crime documentary Cocaine Cowboys II: Hustlin’ With the Godmother.  However, the real star (so to speak) is drug lord Griselda Blanco. If you think women can’t be as scary as men, go ahead and watch this movie. You will promptly be corrected!  Personally, this is one of the scariest movies I’ve ever seen, and will likely ever see. I mean, this woman was scary! She’s said to be responsible for as many as 200 deaths (or more), and didn’t always order others to do it. In fact, Charles Cosby claims she committed her first murder at the age of 11! Quite simply, drug trafficking became more violent because of her.

Incredibly, Cosby was actually in a relationship with Blanco, and made the mistake of cheating on her while she was in prison. Though he survived a round of retaliatory gunfire, she definitely made it clear she could kill him if she really wanted to. How bad was she? According to the New York Post, “Blanco killed three former husbands as well as strippers, business rivals – and innocent bystanders, including a 4-year-old boy.” One possible lesson from this documentary: Don’t date notoriously violent gangsters, including female ones. The breakup might get a little rough.
