Ash vs Evil Dead

Season 1

Ever since the 80’s I have been enjoying the Evil Dead franchise. Yes, if you do the math you will find out that I am over 50 so that cat is out of the bag now. When I heard back in 2014 that the further adventures of Ash Williams would be on STARZ in the form of a new series, Ash vs Evil Dead, it was a joyous occasion.

2015 rolled around and AVED premiered. Things were great, season 1 was getting rave reviews and the ratings were excellent. Season 2 was already ordered and it seemed like Bruce Campbell’s prediction of 5 seasons would come to fruition.

We were introduced to new characters Kelly (Dana DeLorenzo) and Pablo (Ray Santiago) who would form a nice cohesive if somewhat dysfunctional family unit with Ash. Even Bruce’s old friend, Lucy Lawless was along for the ride as the evil demon queen Ruby.

Most people were skeptical about Ash having sidekicks but we fell in love with Kelly and Pablo right away. It seemed as if they were always a part of his journey. By the time season 2 was on the horizon, we couldn’t wait to see how life in Jacksonville was treating the chainsaw handed hero.
