Halloween: Laurie Strode takes on Fiji Water at the Golden Globes

After taking on Michael Myers in the new Halloween, Jamie Lee Curtis is going head to head with Fiji Water after a bad PR stunt at the Golden Globes.

According to People, you shouldn’t mess with Jamie Lee Curtis. Like all award shows, the Golden Globes hosted a glorious red carpet event last Sunday. Inviting the biggest names in the business, it’s what you’d expect. Well that and being bombarded with product placement…

It appears while celebrities were having their pictures taken, Fiji Water was tying to be coy by slipping in a sale rep where they could — this didn’t sit well with the Halloween icon. Here’s what the actor is saying about situation on Instagram:

You don’t mess with the momma hen of horror….

While it’s easy to dismiss Curtis as petty or “being a drama queen,” personal space and respect is important. At the end of the day, actors, or those any entertainment industry, are people and not simply commodities to be bought and sold. What Fiji Water did is wrong and I support Curtis causing a necessary ripple in the water.
