Spooky Empire has a scary good line up for March

If you are a fan of horror films and live in Central Florida (as I do, on both counts), you are most likely familiar with our very own homegrown horror con, Spooky Empire, which began in 2003. Spooky hosts two conventions each year, and the next one coming up is the weekend of March 22 – 24.

The guest lineup is pretty impressive so far, and I am eagerly waiting to see if more guests are going to be announced prior to the grand opening! Despite my love for horror, I have never been to a “con” before, so March’s Spooky Empire will be my first.

Spooky Empire’s Scary Good Guest List

Christina Ricci (The Addams Family, Casper, Sleep Hollow, Lizzie Borden Took an Ax, Cursed, The Lizzie Borden Chronicles, and many, many others) will be appearing Saturday and Sunday only.

Fairuza Balk (The Craft, Return to Oz, The Worst Witch, The Island of Dr. Moreau) will be appearing all weekend.

Dee Wallace (The Hills Have Eyes, ET, Cujo, The Howling, Critters) is doing “double duty”, as she is part of both an ET reunion, and a Cujo reunion. She is appearing all weekend.

Henry Thomas (ET, The Haunting of Hill House, Gerald’s Game, Psycho IV: The Beginning, Fire in the Sky, Ouija: Origin of Evil) is appearing all weekend.

Christopher Lloyd (The Addams Family, Back to the Future, Piranha 3D, I Am Not a Serial Killer, Star Trek III) is appearing Saturday and Sunday only (the same as his Addams Family co-star).

Cast members from ET: The Extra-Terrestrial include Henry Thomas (Elliot), Dee Wallace (Mary), Robert MacNaughton (Michael), and Matthew DeMerritt. Who is DeMerritt? Well, he is an actor who was born with no legs, and walks on his hands. He donned an ET suit, and appeared in the scene where ET gets drunk and stumbles around the kitchen. The ET cast members will be appearing all weekend.

Cast members from Cujo include Dee Wallace (Donna), Daniel Hugh Kelly (Vic), Danny Pintauro (Tad), and director Lewis Teague, who will be appearing all weekend.
