Bruce Campbell will be appearing at Mad Monster Party on Feb. 23 and 24. We have his schedule information! Plus, some helpful tips for first time con attendees.

Bruce Campbell will be appearing Feb. 23 and 24 at Mad Monster Party in Charlotte, North Carolina. For those of you who were lucky enough to purchase photo-ops (alas, they have sold out!) we have his schedule plus other ways that you can see him!

If this is your first-time meeting Bruce, here are some hints to help you navigate through con anxiety. I can tell you I attended my first event last year and it can be a lot to take in. Make sure you have access to Facebook to check for scheduling changes as well as a map or guide to the venue. This will help to make your experience less stressful.

Photo-Op Suggestions

Anyone who is familiar with the actor knows that he is definitely one who possesses his own, unique style. You never see Campbell “dressed down” for con events. He is always wearing a jacket, sometimes an ascot and his ever-present pocket poof!

If you are into cosplay, dress up! Bring props. Bruce definitely has fun with that and chances are you will too.

So, maybe wearing a costume isn’t your scene and that’s okay too. You definitely want to have a memorable experience. Sharp, comfortable and casual is always the way to go.

Photo-ops for Bruce start at 11 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. For those of you that also have time booked with David Howard Thornton (Art the Clown) on Sunday, Mad Monster assures you that you won’t miss your pictures with either actor. Just ensure that you are there on time since they are literally right next to each other, which is convenient!

Last Fan Standing

Maybe you weren’t able to order a photo-op with Bruce. Well, here is another chance to see your favorite performer. Campbell will be bringing his hot trivia game show, Last Fan Standing to Mad Monster.

Do you know popular culture? Are you a fan of sci-fi, horror, comic books and fantasy? Then this is the show for you.

The best thing about LFS is that everyone gets a chance to play. When you are in the venue, you will receive a clicker. There will be a series of questions in different categories.

Four individuals will be chosen based on their accuracy and how quickly they can answer the queries. They will then share the stage with Bruce and compete against each other to be the Last Fan Standing.

This event will be taking place at 8 p.m. on Feb. 23. Details on how to participate can be found at 1428 Elm.

Q & A Time

Bruce will be holding a panel discussion on Feb. 24 at 4:00 p.m. Basically, this is a forum for Campbell to impart information about himself and his career. Most importantly, it is a way for him to interact directly with you!

Do you have a question that you have been dying to have him answer about his career? Now is your chance to ask him. You want to stand out?

Don’t inquire about the usual suspects like Evil Dead, Ash vs Evil Dead, Bubba Ho-Tep, Burn Notice or even Xena. Target those films and TV shows that he doesn’t talk about on a regular basis.

Think along the lines of Jack of All Trades, maybe his appearance on The X-Files or Lodge 49. Outside the box is always good and it might give you the chance of having a memorable encounter. Be warned though, he is known for his snarky retorts but they aren’t mean-spirited just him having fun.

Round Up

In order to attend these events, tickets to Mad Monster Party must be purchased. You can get a general admission that day or a SHRIEKend pass or become a RIP holder which gets you into the pre-show, after events and priority seating at panels.

You also have the option of paying in cash at the door. If you prefer to have your tickets beforehand, go to Ticketleap.
