Joe Hill: Dying to see him in person? Here’s where he will be

AMC recently released a second teaser trailer for the upcoming NOS4A2, and it has me really looking forward to the series! I think the only person more excited than me is NOS4A2 writer Joe Hill himself, who has multiple personal appearances booked for the next month and a half.
NOS4A2 is based on Hill’s novel of the same time, and tells the story of Vic, a young woman who was traumatized in her teens by the evil child-killing Charles Manx and his equally evil sidekick, Bing Partridge. As a young mother, Vic refuses to allow her son to become one of Manx’s victims, and fights back with everything she has.
But, Charles is not just your average child abductor, there are more sinister (and supernatural) forces at work. Vic must return to the way-more-evil-than-it-sounds Christmasland to save her son and defeat Manx once and for all.

NOS4A2 stars Zachary Quinto as Chales Manx, and Ashleigh Cummings as Vic. The series’ showrunner is Jami O’Brien (Hell On Wheels, Fear the Walking Dead).
According to Joe’s blog, AMC’s adaptation for NOS4A2 is going to be amazing, and some of his appearances, though not all, are tied in with the series. Better yet, the showrunner and some of the actors will be with him at a few of the dates.

SXSW FESTIVAL in Austin, TX – March 11, 6:15 p.m., Alamo Lamar, D Room (appearing with Ashleigh Cummings, Jami O’Brien and Zachary Quinto). There will be a screening of the first episode of NOS4A2, followed by a Q & A session.
WONDERCON in Anaheim, CA – March 30, 11:15 – 12:45 (appearing with Quinto and O’Brien), again showing the first episode of NOS4A2.
WORD OF SOUTH FESTIVAL in Tallahassee, FL – April 14, 3:00 p.m., Lyric Stage (appearing with musician Matthew Ryan, who performed a cover of the Rolling Stones’ Wild Horses on the vinyl audiobook for Hill’s story Dark Carousel).
While Joe Hill will not be there in person, there will be a screening of NOS4A2 episode 1 at Emerald City Comic Con in Seattle on March 16, 2:45 p.m. in room 611. There will be another screening at C2E2 in Chicago on March 23, 4:30 p.m. on the main stage. Hill will also not be present for that one.
