After a long wait, we finally get a new zombie game from Turtle Rock Studios, the creators of Left 4 Dead and the new game is called Back 4 Blood.

Back 4 Blood is on the way and it sounds exciting!

Have you ever been in a situation where you almost bought a whole new platform just to play one game? With console exclusives, it may have crossed your mind before. There was one game that made me seriously consider changing gaming platforms as a Sony gamer and that was Left 4 Dead and again with Left 4 Dead 2.

Those games were just…GREAT. Well, it looks like we may be getting some more couch co-op zombie love from Turtle Rock Studios and the new game is called Back 4 Blood.

They sure love the numbers in the title thing and I’m not mad. According to Polygon, the developers just announced the new fast paced zombie game but Turtle Rocks assures that it is not Left 4 Dead 3. It will offer a co-op campaign as well as a player versus player mode but they stress that it is not a Battle Royal mode (thank GOD, too many of those exist). Because there are so many zombie games set to release in 2019 and 2020, they have a lot to go up against. In their FAQ announcement on their website, they had this to say:

"“We are going back to our roots and at the same time innovating on them. We know we have some big shoes to fill, but we’re going all out to surpass everything we’ve done before.”"

That’s a loaded promise and I am excited to see if that promise gets fulfilled. One thing that they mentioned was the possibility of micro-transactions, which is becoming quite the bane of gamers’ existences but they say that they will do it in a way that “the community feels good about” if it appears in game. Back 4 Blood is  being published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.

Back 4 Blood will be an all new IP with new features and a unique experience from Left 4 Dead but will still have a ton of zombies to hack and slash your way through, although they haven’t released any information on the new features. It is set to be a AAA release on PC, PS4 and Xbox One (which is VERY exciting), although no release date is set and no other information is available.
