4. Lose Weight, The Bruce Campbell Way

Since the movie takes place 5 years prior to Burn Notice the series, Bruce had to transform himself into that version of the character. Immediately, he knew he had to dye his hair dark and then he had to lose weight for the part.

Normally, most Hollywood stars whenever they have to play a superhero or have a nude scene on the horizon usually get maniacal about their preparation. Some have gone under the knife to alter whatever needs to be taken care of.

Others hire a trainer for marathon sessions where their diet consists of nothing but kale and hot lemon and cayenne water. Which will definitely get you that abs and buns of steel look in a New York minute.

However, Campbell basically started hiking the hills that surround his abode in the Oregon Siskiyou Mountains. He did that every day for about two months. In his words:

"“Climbing a 4,000-foot peak, that’ll take care of you. By the time you get up and get back, you’ve walked for six hours. And, you know, you eat mostly brightly colored vegetables that don’t come in packages.”"

That is the proper way to become a lean, mean fighting machine.
