Portals to Hell will present a ground-breaking episode on June 7 at 10 p.m. on Travel Channel. Katrina Weidman and Jack Osbourne will be the first paranormal investigators allowed inside LaLaurie Mansion in New Orleans according to the network press release.
The Louisiana landmark has a sordid history attached to it. During the 1800’s, Delphine LaLaurie and her husband Leonard occupied the house with their servants. They were a wealthy couple and very prominent in certain social circles.
In 1834, a terrible fire broke out in the kitchen of the residence. When the fire department arrived, the scene they would encounter would be so shocking that it caused the LaLaurie family to flee to France. First of all, the family’s cook was found chained to the stove.
The 70 year old woman claimed that she started the fire because she was terrified of the wrath of Madame LaLaurie. Then the discoveries proceeded to get worse. Apparently, in the attic, more domestic staff were found horribly mutilated and severely tortured.

Katrina and Jack will attempt to find the truth behind the hauntings that are rumored to take place inside the troubled location. They will also look to make contact with any beleaguered spirits that may be incarcerated within the walls of LaLaurie and haven’t had the chance to go toward the light.
