Bruce Campbell starts another chapter in his career this Sunday as the latest host of Ripley’s Believe It or Not! on Travel Channel. We caught up with the actor to discuss his new gig, the future of the Evil Dead universe, his upcoming mini-book tour and The Last Kids on Earth.

Bruce Campbell never slowed down after Ash vs Evil Dead was canceled last year. Life and his career moved on and the actor found himself getting critical acclaim for his guest starring role as Gary “Captain” Green on AMC’s Lodge 49.

As far away from an evil cabin in the woods, chainsaws and Deadites as you can get, his performance garnered him consideration for an Emmy. Then out of the blue, the actor took to social media to tell his fans he had an announcement to make on New Year’s Eve at the Ripley’s Countdown stage.

Of course, speculation was rampant on the internet. Finally, the day arrived and everyone tuned in to find out that he would be the host of the reboot of the iconic television series, Ripley’s Believe It or Not!

Now, it would seem that he has come full circle in his career from starting out as the host of industrial films in Detroit as a young actor to hosting and executive producing Ripley’s. After watching the first episode, fans can rest assured that this new venture fits him like a glove.

Always one with a keen interest and attraction to unusual stories, it wasn’t so far-fetched that he would be the person to lead Ripley’s in the 21st century. We were lucky enough to sit down with the actor prior to his debut to talk about his new gig, the future of the Evil Dead Universe, his upcoming mini-book tour and Netflix’s The Last Kids on Earth.
