Child’s Play and the 15 best horror movies coming this summer

2. IT Chapter Two (September 6)
This film was definitely a given and it ranks among 2019’s final summer horror movies. I don’t know a single person who is not counting down the days on their fingers and toes just waiting for IT Chapter Two to hit theaters.
I was a big fan of the original and of Tim Curry, so I was pretty hesitant when watching the first film, but the remake is gorgeous, scary as hell and even funny. Finn Wolfhard was a delight in the first chapter, but all of the kids did a phenomenal job and don’t get me started on Bill Skarsgård and his work as Pennywise.
IT Chapter Two is set to pick up many years after the first film. It introduce us to the adult forms of the Losers Club when Pennywise returns to Derry forcing them to gather again to fight him one last time.
It is said that this second chapter is much scarier than the first and I remember sitting in the front row of the theater seeing the first chapter and jumping regularly! The acting ensemble looks insane and I cannot wait to see what Chapter Two has to offer, even if it just reminds me again why I hate clowns.
