11. Brahms: The Boy II (July 26)

It would seem that summer 2019 is the summer of creepy, murderous dolls. You don’t know what I am talking about yet, but you’ll see as there are plenty of summer horror movies with creepy toys this year. The first of many homicidal miniatures is the sequel to The Boy.

Brahms: The Boys II picks up at the same creepy AF mansion, but instead of Lauren Cohan we have Katie Holmes. There is a spooky scary boy doll buried in the yard, so it only makes sense to bring it INTO the house because what’s the worst that could happen.

This sequel was written by Stacey Menear and directed by William Brent Bell. Dolls are scary by nature, but porcelain dolls take home the win on uncomfortable toys. I will never understand why people collect these things, but The Boy takes the evil doll concept to another level.

While I wasn’t a huge fan of the original, I do look forward to seeing what this next installment has to offer. Can we all agree though, if a porcelain doll was literally buried in the yard, who in their right mind thinks it is a good idea to, not only bring it inside, but to give it to a child? I wouldn’t even donate that to Goodwill; that thing gets a fire bath.
