Bruce Campbell: Ripley’s Episode 3 is full of showstoppers
Bruce Campbell introduces us to some incredibly courageous folks who push the boundaries with showstopping results in Episode 3 of Ripley’s Believe It or Not.
Bruce Campbell is no stranger to jaw dropping events. After all, during his last job on television on the series, Ash vs Evil Dead, he used to routinely get hit in the face with a blood cannon. So, it is safe to say that in his four decades in the entertainment business, he has seen everything and done everything.
However, on episode 3 of Ripley’s Believe It or Not! (which can now be viewed on Travel Channel’s app) the actor introduces you to some pretty outstanding individuals that push the boundaries where others might be easily intimidated. Be prepared to witness some showstopping and heart pounding segments.
Where to begin? All of the folks that are profiled on next week’s show are incredibly resilient and focused. They have to be for the feats that they perform.
After all, its not everyday that one puts on a mesh shark suit to harness electricity in an artistic manner. Such is the case with the Lords of Lightning who are masters of the tesla coil. Utilizing their acrobatic abilities, they routinely put on dazzling displays of athleticism while throwing bolts of energy at one another to the amazement of audiences all over Britain.
Then there is my personal favorite, the Whip Artist. By day, April Choi is an engineer in fluid dynamics solving complex equations. However, after hours, she cracks a whip, literally! Her latest trick could be one that will light her audience on fire with excitement or if she isn’t careful, herself.
Another individual worth noting is Jackie Bibby, the Texas Snakeman. He thinks nothing of sitting in a bathtub full of Western Diamondbacks with hair trigger tempers and venom that can kill. Color me terrified and impressed.
This is another Ripley’s episode that hits it out of the park. Not only are you mesmerized by what these people can do but you are also interested in what compels them to perform these unusual feats of courage or artistry.
