Going to join the chorus and say I absolutely loved #Midsommar. Ari Aster nails guttural, raw emotion. But this time? So much joy and humor with the fucked up pain. Legit feel good horror for me.

MIDSOMMAR: a wickedly funny romp with Ugly Americans and Freaky Swedes in the woods, a premium cut of one of my favorite subgenres (daytime horror), and just so confidently made. Ari Aster takes the very idea of a sophmore slump and sets it ablaze

MIDSOMMAR confirms a major talent who isn’t afraid to alienate... most people. A psychotropic plunge into what death might mean, if it means anything. Deeply upsetting and very funny?

Can it be July already? I’m ready for some pagan madness…
As a massive fan of last year’s Hereditary, everyday is too long to wait for Aster’s next picture. With his debut feature gaining the respect of many (it also has it’s fair share of fans who hate it), Midsommar is apparently ready to become another classic of the genre. Speaking too early is often bad news, but the feeling of greatness upon us grows by the day. Summer is about to get deadlier than ever.
Midsommar stars Florence Pugh, Will Poulter and Jack Reynor. Ari Aster directs a screenplay by Aster. B-Reel Films and Parts and Labor produce, with A24 distributing. The pagan madness arrives July 3, only in theaters.
