3. My Amityville Horror (2012)

Like the one before it, this one is not technically a horror movie, but is part of the Amityville Horror franchise. This film is told through the eyes of someone who live it, one of the Lutz’s children. Daniel Lutz goes to tell his story and the psychological scars he received by living in that house at 112 Ocean Avenue.

Before the documentary came out, Daniel hadn’t spoken publicly on the events that occurred that drove his family from the home. This film goes in-depth with eyewitness testimonies, stories told by the people who lived through the ordeal.

This Amityville Horror documentary was written and directed by Eric Walter and has appearances by Daniel Lutz, Susan Bartell, Lauren DiDio, Marvin Scott, Neme Alperstein, Ben Foti, Joel Martin and more.

Despite whether you think the story is true or false, it is interested to get a different perspective on the story of what allegedly went down in that house. Daniel Lutz seems like a man with a dark past and he definitely seems like he has a story to tell. I can’t comment on the validity of the information in the documentary, but it does show another facet to an already complicated story that has jut gotten bigger over the decades.
