4. King Edmund -Tangled: The Series

King Edmund is a very noble royal. He was a sentinel guarding a powerful opal that could bring down kingdoms. In an effort to end the legacy of his lineage, he tried to destroy the stone. What happened was a catastrophe.

There was devastation of such proportions that he evacuated his subjects. An unfortunate consequence of his actions, is that he had to send his only son away in order to protect him.

Years later they are reunited and it turns out that Rapunzel’s right-hand man, Eugene Fitzherbert is his scion. A father who would lay down his life or give his only child up so that they can be safe and grow to adulthood unfettered is definitely a superhero of a parent.
