6. Prodigal Son

  • Starring: Tom Payne, Michael Sheen, Bellamy Young, Lou Diamond Phillips, Halston Sage, Aurora Perrineau, Frank Harts, and Keiko Agena
  • Premiering: September 23 on FOX

Prodigal Son should interest anyone who has an interest in serial killers. The show will follow a profiler who is the son of an infamous serial killer.

The killer will be played by acclaimed actor, Michael Sheen. Prodigal Son is meant to be a darkly comedic new take on the crime procedural with Sheen portraying one of the worst serial killers around, “The Surgeon.”

5. Creepshow

  • Starring: David Arquette, Tricia Helfer, Adrienne Barbeau, Tobin Bell, Bruce Davison, and more
  • Premiering: September 26 on Shudder

Shudder is giving us the Creepshow we’ve always wanted this fall TV season. The original Creepshow series was created by two horror legends, George Romero and Stephen King.

The series was one of the first horror anthologies and adapted several of King’s own stories. Creepshow is a continuation of the two franchise films and will feature two new horror stories in each of its six episodes.

4. The Purge

  • Starring: Derek Luke, Max Martini, Paola Nuñez, Joel Allen, Rochelle Aytes, and Danika Yarosh
  • Premiering: This fall on USA

Don’t miss out on the second season of The Purge, a horror anthology series about a single night where all crime is legal. This new season of The Purge will be a little different than its predecessor.

This time we’ll actually get to see the aftermath of Purge night and follow these new characters from one Purge all the way to the next. The series is terrific fun, especially if you’re a fan of the film series, of which there is currently a fifth film in the works.
