Shazam! actor replaces Bryan Tyree Henry in A Quiet Place Part II
A Quiet Place Part II has found another survivor in Djimon Hounsou, who is replacing another actor now that the film is in production. Here’s what we know.
Post-apocalyptic horror is having the time of its life. This sub-genre has become very popular lately with TV series, novels, and movies set in this mysterious and horrifying environment. John Krasinski’s A Quiet Place showed a unique type of post-apocalyptic world: one where if you make a sound, you’ll most likely die.
A Quiet Place followed a family struggling to survive in a world destroyed by blind, extraterrestrial creatures with a keen sense of hearing. Even the slightest sound can trigger their deadly nature.

They will go after you, so you better keep as quiet as possible. Critics and audiences praised the movie, so why not make a sequel? Lucky us, production on A Quiet Place Part II has already begun, but there was a slight change in the cast.
Back in June, Brian Tyree Henry was set to star alongside Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe, and Cillian Murphy. Due to scheduling conflicts, he has left the project. But do not fear: Djimon Hounsou has joined the cast and will take his place.
Details on the plot and the new characters are still unknown beyond the obvious. The creatures have not been defeated yet. The Abbott family will probably team up with other survivors. That’s what I think will happen, at least. Surprise me, Krasinski.
Djimon Hounsou has some experience in the horror and sci-fi genres, with roles in Constantine, Push (I know, I know. That one was weird), and most recently in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Guardians of the Galaxy, Captain Marvel.
He also recently starred in DC’s Shazam. He has done a bit of everything and everywhere, so it’s going to be exciting to see what he does in A Quiet Place Part II. Hopefully not a villainous/antagonist role, though.

A Quiet Place Part II, directed by John Krasinski, is scheduled for a March 20, 2020 release.
