Laurie Strode herself gives us our first tease of what to expect in Halloween Ends
By Mads Lennon
At the Saturn Awards, Jamie Lee Curtis gave an interview with Collider where she teased what fans can expect from Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends.
We’ve got a little over a year still until Halloween Kills is released in theaters. With the movie going into production this month, we’ve started getting more information about what we can expect.
We’re almost into October, and everyone is getting in the Halloween spirit, including Jamie Lee Curtis herself. Collider spoke with Curtis while at the Saturn Awards, where the actress took home an award for her portrayal of Laurie Strode in the 2018 sequel.
During the interview, Curtis explained the thing she’s most looking forward to in the upcoming sequels is the exploration of Laurie’s trauma. It’s not often horror movies focus on how characters feel in the aftermath of a horrific attack.

There have been many final girls across horror who could have had interesting stories told about how they change and adapt in the aftermath of facing off against a monster. I’m looking forward to seeing how Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends allow Laurie to evolve.
As Curtis explained it, the butt-kicking part of the movies is the “fan-favorite” part. But for her, she anted director David Gordon Green to understand how great an honor it is for her to acknowledge Laurie’s trauma.
Curtis also claims that the return of Lindsey Wallace and Tommy Doyle is imperative to the sequel as it will focus intently on events from the 1978 film.
We’ve heard quite a bit about Halloween Kills, less so about Halloween Ends. Well, in this interview, Curtis explains that Halloween Ends will be an “examination of violence.” She relates it to the current culture and that the end product will be very powerful.
