Murder House Flip is a new series set to premiere on the upcoming streaming service Quibi. It combines home renovation and true crime.

Imagine if the two things you loved most, true crime and shows about home renovation, could be combined into one thing. Would that interest you? If so, you’re in luck because a show just like that is coming soon.

I’m not a big fan of watching HGTV and house-flipping. I can only pay attention for so long before I get bored. However, the idea of watching a show where they try to flip houses where people have been murdered sounds way more interesting.

As Bustle perfectly sums it up, “Murder House Flip sounds like Fixer Upper for true crime enthusiasts.”

Quibi is the next big streaming service coming our way (well one of many). It’s a mobile-only service that is set to launch on April 6, 2020. It already has other A-listers creating content for it like Guillermo del Toro, Steven Spielberg, Tyra Banks, and more.

One of the new series present will be Murder House Flip. The series is set to be produced by Josh Berman (CSI, Bones), Chris King (Penny Dreadful), and Katherine Ramsland.

Per a press release for the series given to Bustle, the site reports that the series will take on some of the most infamous murder houses. The more exciting and twisted the backstory, the better the odds of it being eligible for this unique type of house-flipping.

Most of us know about at least one creepy house in our neighborhood. Who knows, maybe you’ll see a familiar home on the series. Not only will we see how the series renovate these homes will employ spiritual healers and forensic specialists to uncover the dark and bloody truth of each house.

I admit, I never considered these two genres being combined, but now that it’s happening, it kind of makes perfect sense.

The only downside is that Quibi will cost money, $5 monthly with ads or you can pay a little extra for ad-free. Also, the episodes would only be about 10 minutes long. It’s unclear how they could condense a concept like this into such short segments, but maybe they’ll do one house for multiple episodes.
