- Directed by: Chuck Russell

A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors is a 1987 film and the official third entry into the overall Nightmare on Elm Street franchise. Wes Craven returns to work on the screenplay for this movie.
Freddy is back, played by legendary actor Robert Englund, and he’s determined to murder the children of the parents who were responsible for his terrible death.
Nancy Thompson is helping the kids learn to control their dreams better so they might be able to fight off Freddy once and for all when he inevitably comes calling.
Overall, this movie did much better than the official sequel did. It has become a fan-favorite, many liked the ingenuity of the film and some of the more out-there elements such as the infamous junkyard scene. But overall, this movie is imaginative and introduces new concepts and ideas that revitalized the franchise.
Many believed Nightmare on Elm Street would be done after this movie since the sequel was poorly received but thanks to Dream Warriors, Elm Street continued on for several more films. Eventually, there was even a crossover between Elm Street and another popular slasher franchise, Friday the 13th.
