12. Final Destination 3 (2006)

Final Destination 3 is, as the title suggests, the third film in the Final Destination franchise. Many people consider the second film to the best, and I think the second one is great in its own right.
But for me, and many others, Final Destination 3 is the one we remember best. The reason being is, of course, the infamous and iconic tanning bed death scene. How many of you reading this were scarred by watching that scene when you were too young to be seeing this movie?
I would never have gone into a tanning bed anyway because of my claustrophobia, but after seeing what happened to Ashley and Ashlyn, there is no way I’ll ever entertain the idea.
This movie also stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead, lesser-known at the time but ultimately a popular actress nowadays.
Like many of the movies in this franchise, the ending is pretty sad. It’s a rule of thumb when watching Final Destination that you shouldn’t get too attached to any of the characters.
There are five Final Destination movies in all. While they were never critical successes, many people still think they’re fun to watch. A sixth one is supposedly in development.
