Scream has now joined the ranks of beloved horror franchises. Ghostface is an icon right up there with Freddy, Jason, Pinhead and Michael Myers. This past weekend, Neve Campbell, Matthew Lillard, Jamie Kennedy and Roger Jackson had a reunion of sorts at Monster-Mania in Hunt Valley, Maryland. Among the many questions at their Q & A session, one definitely stood out.
Ever wonder what movies leave them on edge? After all, the entire cast especially Roger (who is the voice of Ghostface) have spent over two decades terrifying audiences. Well, their answers were definitely surprising.
Neve Campbell who could be considered a scream queen at this point in her career, created the strong-willed survivor, Sidney Prescott. So, since she knows what goes on behind the scenes, you might conjecture that she isn’t easily scared.
Well, there is one movie that definitely gives her pause and that is The Changeling with George C. Scott. This is an old-fashioned ghost story that is really eerie and haunting in parts. Scott portrays John Russell, a composer who recently suffered a personal tragedy.

Of course, Matthew Lillard, ever the jokester replied, “Scream!” much to the audience’s delight. Jamie Kennedy didn’t pull any punches. The actor loves The Exorcist. That film was groundbreaking in that it was the first-time cinema explored the idea of demonic possession. It still holds up today and we recommend leaving the lights on when you watch it.
Roger Jackson went campy horror with Roman Polanski’s The Fearless Vampire Killers. Polanski wrote and directed the film which starred his wife Sharon Tate as his love interest.
The actor points out that one of the characters in the film who plays the Village Idiot is Ronald Lacey who later went on to star in Raiders of the Lost Ark as Toht, the creepy Nazi that tormented Indiana Jones.
