A ghost appeared to be wandering the streets of Milford Haven, a town in Wales. Is this really an otherworldly apparition?

Ghost sightings always seem to crop up during the Halloween season. Maybe it is the time of year that brings out strange phenomenon. In the town of Milford Haven in Wales, an apparition may be wandering the streets.

Cameras are everywhere these days, especially in public places. For some people, this fact gives them a sense of security. However, others may find it extremely intrusive.

According to Unexplained, a CCTV outside the home of Ann Alston managed to capture what appears to be an image of a ghost walking down the street. The disquieting event happened in the middle of the night.

When you view the footage, a police car patrolling the area can be seen and then looking as if emerging from behind a street lamppost, a blurred figure appears out of nowhere. Now, the camera is not shooting the scene from inside the house. It is actually mounted outside.

What that means is that the camera shooting the reflection of a passerby through the window can be ruled out. Could this really be proof that the afterlife exists?

After viewing the video numerous times, we decided to do some research on common issues that sometimes plague CCTV cameras. One explanation for this ghost could be very simple.

Auto iris cameras tend to go out of focus at night. For those of you that are familiar with photography, you may have heard the terms aperture and depth of field.

During the day time, the aperture in the camera controls how much light hits images. Obviously, because the sun is shining and conditions are bright, the opening is smaller and expands at night to allow more light to enter the camera.

Apertures also control the depth of field which determines how in focus objects in front of the camera are. The zone of focus is reduced and therefore what would appear clear during the daytime is rather muddled at night. You be the judge.

So, could this truly be a ghost or is it a person just walking down the street at night being captured by the CCTV as an out of focus image? Until further analysis is performed by trained professionals, we may never know.

What do you believe? Is this an actual ghost caught on camera or do you think that it is just an out of focus image due to night time conditions? Let us know in the comments.
