Danielle Harris: Adam Green plans to make Hatchet 5 and 6
Danielle Harris confirmed at Monster-Mania that Adam Green has plans to make Hatchet 5 and 6!
Danielle Harris recently appeared at Monster-Mania in Hunt Valley, Maryland. During the Halloween reunion panel Q & A, the actress was asked about the status of the Hatchet franchise.
In the very first installment of Adam Green’s Victor Crowley saga, Marybeth Dunstan was played by Amara Zaragoza. However, she was replaced by the time 2010 rolled around by Harris in Hatchet II. The director and Danielle have a history together.
She has guest starred on two of Green’s web series, Scary Sleepover and Holliston. According to an interview the actress gave to Page Six in the New York Post several years ago, she always “called and harassed” the director to put her in his movies. That plan definitely paid off for her!
The last effort that she was in was the surprise film, Victor Crowley which was in theaters two years ago. Lucky fans thought that they were attending a 10th anniversary screening of Hatchet and instead, Green rolled out the fourth installment in his franchise.
According to the actress, two more Hatchet films are in the cards. The rumor is that they are going to be shot at the same time. However, she hasn’t read a script yet.
Harris went on to say:
"“All I know is he (Adam Green) makes me do real stupid s*** and A LOT of it. Hopefully, I am not going to be handcuffed for the entire movie this time. It’s completely insane what you have to do but there will be two more which is great!”"
This is terrific news for Green fans who have been waiting patiently (or maybe not) to revisit the Crowley universe again. In the meantime, Danielle Harris is getting ready to direct a new film with Joe Dante producing. IMDb also has another Harris venture listed that is currently in post and slated for release in January 2020 entitled Redwood Massacre – Annihilation.
