Could Sarah Paulson return to American Horror Story for Season 10?
Sarah Paulson, in a recent interview with TV Guide admitted that she missed being a part of American Horror Story: 1984. Is there a chance she could return for Season 10?
Sarah Paulson was a constant presence on Ryan Murphy’s American Horror Story since 2011. From the very first moment she appeared onscreen as medium Billie Dean Howard in “Murder House” to her turn as the diabolical Wilhemina Venable in “Apocalypse,” we looked forward to her appearances each and every season.
Then when the cast was announced for AHS: 1984 and her name wasn’t there, fans everywhere were decidedly disappointed. Apparently, it was difficult for the actress to sit this one out as well stating in a recent TV Guide interview that it was “hard to not be a part of it.”
What we do know is that she hasn’t been idle. She will be starring in and executive producing the upcoming Netflix offering from Murphy, Ratched. The series is based on the iconic Louise Fletcher character from the Academy Award winning, Milos Forman film, One Flew over the Cuckoo’s Nest. The show is set to premiere in September 2020.
The busy actress is also going to tackle the role of Linda Tripp in FX’s upcoming third season of American Crime Story entitled “Impeachment.” This installment of the highly rated series is based on the Lewinsky-President Clinton affair. According to IMDb, “Impeachment” will premiere on Sept. 27, 2020.

Also, in the mix for Paulson is the series, Mrs. America which is currently filming. What we know about this effort is that Tracey Ullman is starring as Phyllis Schlafly, a well-known conservative who led a pro-life movement in the 1970’s that was at odds with the feminists promoting the Equal Rights Amendment.
So, with all those commitments, would Sarah Paulson have the time to appear in AHS Season 10? The answer is yes. She has stated that she needs to be “a part of it again,” going even further to gush that she would love to reprise the role of Cordelia.
In the past, Ryan Murphy has teased that the Coven witches might appear again in a future season. However, while the actress is open to appearing on the show, she does have a caveat. She enjoyed working with co-star Evan Peters so much that she will only return if he does.
"“I miss Evan and I miss acting with Evan. So, I’d love to have that experience again. If he’ll come back, I’m back.”"
Hopefully, Ryan Murphy can conjure up a role that will entice the actor back to the series so that we can see Sarah Paulson again. The finale of AHS: 1984 airs Wednesday, Nov. 13 at 10 p.m. on FX.
