6. Hocus Pocus (1993)

Halloween might be over, but that can’t stop us from watching our favorite seasonal flicks. Hocus Pocus is on almost everyone’s Halloween watch list, especially Freeform’s; the channel played Hocus Pocus 27 times during their 31 Nights of Halloween 2019.

Thankfully, Disney Plus included Hocus Pocus in their catalog so that fans can watch it at any point of the year. This also helps if anyone wants to catch up with the Sanderson sisters before the Hocus Pocus sequel is released!

Hocus Pocus tells the story of Max who accidentally awakens the Sanderson sisters. With help from his sister, a talking cat, and the girl he has a crush on, Max must rid Salem of the witch trio. Hocus Pocus stars Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy.

5. Halloweentown (1998)

When Disney Plus was announced, I had my fingers crossed that Halloweentown would make it into the library. Dreams truly do come true, because Disney Plus subscribers now have Halloweentown, along with Halloweentown II: Kalabar’s Revenge, Halloweentown High, and Return to Halloweentown at their fingertips!

On Marnie’s 13th birthday, she discovers two things: she’s a witch and there’s a place called Halloweentown where supernatural beings roam. Evil finds its way into the town, and it’s up to Marnie and her family to save the world. What a birthday, huh?

Halloweentown played a huge part in my life when it came to discovering my interests, along with inspiring me to write fictional tales. The Disney Channel Original Movie has an array of colorful characters and is such a fun ride from beginning to end.
