MUNICH, GERMANY – DECEMBER 09: Actors dressed as the Krampus creature parade through the city center’s pedestrian shopping district on December 9, 2018 in Munich, Germany. Krampus traditionally accompanies Saint Nicholas and angels in a house to house procession to reward children who have been good and warn those who have not, though in recent decades Krampus parades have become an intrinsic part of local folklore and take place throughout the end of November and into the first half of December in the alpine regions of Germany, Austria and Italy. Krampus usually wears large cowbells on his back that he rings by shaking his hips to ward off the evil spirits of winter. He also carries a switch made of branches or animal hair that he uses to whip bystanders. (Photo by Sebastian Widmann/Getty Images) /

‘Tis the month to be thankful for the things you cherish, and if you are at all familiar with our site, you must cherish horror films. While Halloween, and even Christmas are big holidays for horror, there are not a lot of Thanksgiving-related horror movies available, even on Amazon Prime.

OK, there are always the movies in the Thankskilling franchise (which are currently available to stream on Amazon), but they are not really to my personal taste. So, I perused Amazon, looking for other horror flicks that might fit the bill.

I kept in mind the main themes of the Thanksgiving: family, holidays and feasting, and I was able to scare up a few movies that should keep you entertained well after you watch the Thanksgiving Day parade on television.

I will also note the movies that feature a lot of blood and gore, just in case you want to watch those before you eat. As an added plus, showing one of the bloodier selections from Amazon Prime might also help you get rid of those pesky relatives that want to stick around way too late in the evening. After all, you have to get up early the next day to get your Black Friday shopping in, right?

That being said, here are 5 films on Amazon Prime to gobble up over the Thanksgiving weekend!
