The Untitled Horror Island Movie

It’s happening. Sam Raimi is directing again and this is the film that will find him stepping behind the camera for the first time in 6 years. Not much is known at present because this project was just announced in October.

Mark Swift and Damian Shannon, the writers who brought us Baywatch and the Friday the 13th reboot are penning the script. At present, this effort is being described as “Misery meets Castaway.”

Going off of that limited description, one can only imagine what Raimi will have up his sleeve. It almost sounds like it could be a kind of horror filled Fatal Attraction on an island. That could lend itself to all sorts of terrifying situations particularly if the tropical paradise is isolated.

Of course, we can count on the director to bring his famously scary claustrophobic visions to this production. After all, he excels in films that have remote locations. We can hardly wait to see who will be cast in this feature. Definitely a project to stay on fans’ radars for the next decade.

Stay tuned because this Columbia Pictures project will definitely be in the news. We will keep you updated as information becomes available.
