Emma

Emma, directed by Mary Harron (American Psycho) stars AnnaSophia Robb (The Act) and will focus on a woman who mysteriously gets pregnant. She is then forced to deal with the “increasingly disturbing effects” and a possible conspiracy surrounding the pregnancy.

Others have joined the cast in supporting roles: Mira Sorvino (Stubor), Rory Culkin (Lords of Chaos), Hannah Murray (Charlie Says) and Michael Gaston (The Man in the High Castle). However, there are no character details yet.

Turn of the Screw

Turn of the Screw was originally set to premiere on Freeform, but the modern remake has officially moved to Quibi. The Turn of the Screw was originally an 1898 horror novella by Henry James and has been adapted multiple times for the screen.

This newest take on Turn of the Screw follows a Mexican-American nanny who takes a job caring for two children at their summer home on an island in the Pacific Northwest. What originally appears to be the perfect job, becomes a nightmare when the nanny begins seeing ghosts and starts to lose grip on reality.

CURS_R

As a gamer, I am extremely excited (but also terrified) of the newly announced Quibi thriller, CURS_R. Ridley Scott has officially joined the already impressive Quibi roster with this in-development gaming thriller.

CURS_R will take us on a ride, alongside a broke student who’s determined to win $100,000 prize money by playing an obscure 1980s survival computer game. It doesn’t take her long to realize that she’s not only playing for the money, but also for her own life.

Wireless

Wireless is a survival thriller starring Ready Player One’s Tye Sheridan. A self-obsessed college student is stranded in the Colorado mountains. The only things he has at its disposal is the car that he crashed and his quickly dying smartphone.
