4. Marianne

When Netflix debuted its French horror series, Marianne, many were quick to label it as one of the scariest horror shows of all time. The fascinating storyline focuses on a horror novelist named Emma, who realizes that she may have brought something evil to life through her writing.

She is forced to continue her stories by a horrifying demon named Marianne. Emma must return to her hometown to unravel the truth behind Marianne before she kills everyone Emma cares about. It’s a very unnerving show and certainly not something you want to watch alone in the dark.

3. Kingdom

Kingdom is a South Korean horror series about a deadly plague. It’s Netflix’s first official original Korean series, and it was adapted from The Kingdom of the Gods comics. Kingdom received very positive reviews upon its release, and it was renewed for a second season, which is set to release in March 2020.

Crown Prince Lee Chang is already involved in a political conspiracy when he must go on a mission to discover the root of a mysterious and frightening new plague. With only six episodes, it’s a quick and easy binge-watch. If you haven’t seen the first season, now is the perfect time to catch up before season two drops on Netflix.
