2. Swamp Thing
Swamp Thing was meant to be a long-running, hard-R, mature take on Alan Moore’s Swamp Thing comic book run. James Wan was involved, the series had a great cast and seemingly a great budget thanks to its streaming service, DC Universe, and yet the show was axed after only one season. Sadly, Swamp Thing was mired in production issues.
We may not know the full extent of what happened behind-the-scenes, but at least we managed to get one awesome season. The show followed Abby Arcane’s (Crystal Reed) arrival in the town of Marais, Louisiana, where she prepared to study a swamp-borne virus. It also stars Andy Bean as Alec Holland and Derek Mears as Swamp Thing.

Zachary Quinto stars as the devious Charlie Manx in this AMC series based on the Joe Hill book of the same name. Manx is an immortal being who feeds on children’s’ souls to keep himself alive.
He takes them to a horrific yet seemingly magical place known as “Christmasland.” In reality, Manx viciously kills the innocent to maintain his immortal life. AMC renewed the series for a second season after an incredibly successful first season.
