Tell Me a Story: 4 Key Moments in Season 2, Episode 3
This season of Tell Me a Story is getting heated! We have some key moments from the latest episode titled “Family Business!”
In this episode of Tell Me a Story, we get to witness Tucker’s violent behavior, Ashley Rose bonding with Beau, Kyle forcing his way into Ashley Rose’s life through her assistant, and Simone’s feud with her stepfamily worsen.
Things are getting wild for the major playing characters of Tell Me a Story. It looks like this episode is setting up for an action-packed next episode! Here are some of the key moments in “Family Business”!
Ashley Rose receives death threats.
Right off the bat, “Family Business” takes us into the kitchen of Kyle. While singing along to Ashley Rose’s hit single and baking cookies (blue velvet white chocolate chip, Ashley Rose’s favorite), we witness Kyle burning himself on the oven.

Switch to the inside of the Pruitt’s estate, and we find that Ashley Rose received a box of cookies with a note attached: “Soon we’ll be together, our hearts and souls will burn as one.” Twisted, much? I love cookies as much as the next person, but receiving a letter like that alongside the treat is enough for me to say no thank you.
That’s not all, though! Ashley Rose discovers that this isn’t her first mysterious threat. There’s a folder filled with a few threatening notes since her hospital release, all of which written in different handwriting.
As can be expected, this knocks the country singer’s mood down a few more notches. Thank goodness we have Beau! The cop-turned-guard gives her slight relief from her mental state by taking her out for ice cream and some bonding time.
It wouldn’t be a drama-filled show if we left things as innocent as this, which brings us back to Kyle, who’s idling nearby, watching the two’s every move. However, Beau noticed the car following them and snapped a picture, so let’s see if this leads to something.
It’s time for the reading of Frank’s will.
Simone and her step-family have arrived at the reading of Frank’s will, and it’s not looking that great for Simone. She’s left $25,000, but absolutely zero ties to the family’s company. All company assets are going to Veronica and her two sons, Ron and Derek.
Simone states that she wants to contest the will, which is all fine but could lead to being completely removed from the will.
Later, Ron and Derek show up at Simone’s motel room with her mother’s jewelry and $50,000 from Veronica. She’s told to take the money and leave. Simone refuses and rips up the check, right before punching Ron in the face.
Before exiting, Derek warns Simone that if she doesn’t leave, things will get worse, and he won’t be able to stop it.
Susie goes on a date with Kyle.
Remember last week when Kyle staged a run-in with Ashley Rose’s assistant? We now officially know that Kathyrn Prescott’s character is named Susie.
While stalking the Pruitt’s house, Kyle calls Susie and asks her to meet him at the Blue Sunset Longue, Susie’s favorite bar. For some, this would cause warning bells to ring. For Susie, this makes her even more smitten, and she agrees to go.
After a date-night of playing pool, getting intoxicated, and letting Kyle in on the secret that she’s Ashley Rose’s assistant, she invites Kyle into her home.
One rule: Do not try to escape.
For me, I find the storyline between Tucker Reid and Olivia Moon to be the most enticing in this season of Tell Me a Story. The last episode ended with Tucker locking Olivia away in his secret dungeon. This episode, Olivia wakes up to discover that she and Reba are no longer at home.
No matter how many times Tucker tells Maddie that he’s in a good mental place, one thing remains the same: Tucker is unhinged. For some reason, the writer is acting as if kidnapping a random girl is a normal thing to do, and from we can tell by the episode’s ending, this might be his norm.
Tucker tells Olivia that she’s completely safe and that this entire situation is to benefit both him and her. He then follows this up by telling her that there is only one rule: do not try to escape.
So guess what Olivia tries to do? Escape. Unfortunately, the escape doesn’t go well, and as a consequence, Tucker introduces Olivia to his special rose garden, a rose garden that heavily implied to be the location of two buried girls.
