4. Until Dawn (2015)

Until Dawn was a game-changer for a lot of people. It caught not only the attention of video gamers but also the horror fans who wanted to check out the story. Until Dawn is a video game I often recommend to those who are just getting their feet wet, as it focuses more on Quick Time Events and decisions. Perfect for those who aren’t ready to dive into combat.

Although Until Dawn is only about 9-hours in length, it has a ton of replay value. There are multiple ways to approach the scenarios and several decisions that can alter the entire course of the story. Players have the responsibility of deciding who lives and who dies during the characters’ stay at a remote cabin.

Until Dawn features a Hollywood cast, including Hayden Panettiere (Nashville) and Rami Malek (Mr. Robot).

3. Resident Evil 2 (2019)

Of course, another Resident Evil makes the list. Resident Evil 2 is a remake of the 1998 game, something that was in the talks after the successful remake of the first Resident Evil. In Resident Evil 2, gamers can choose to play as either officer Leon S. Kennedy or Claire Redfield, as they attempt to escape Racoon City. Some things change depending on who you choose, such as subplots and accessible areas.

Resident Evil 2 was a hit for both strangers and fans of the franchise. It was even nominated as Game of the Year.
