Travel Channel: 3 reasons to experience True Terror with Robert Englund
Robert Englund will be haunting Travel Channel in March with a new six-part series, True Terror!
Robert Englund, veteran actor of countless movies will be hosting the brand-new Travel Channel series, True Terror. This six-part show will focus on macabre news from the past.
Who better to host a venture than the man that launched a million nightmares as Freddy Krueger from the hugely successful, A Nightmare on Elm Street franchise? According to the network’s press release, each week Englund will be regaling the viewing audience with three creepy tales ripped “straight from the headlines of yesteryear.”
Of course, with the actor as host, expect the unexpected. There will be flying monsters, creatures in the night, evil possessions and hauntings…what more could horror fans want?
Here are 3 reasons why we want to experience True Terror with Robert Englund!
3. Where Else Can We Hear about an Ax Wielding Serial Killer?
The premiere episode of True Terror is going to be terrifyingly twisted, indeed. Why is a North Carolina proprietor being tormented with visions of his death? Is this going to be a case of willing something into being or has fate dealt his cards?
An ax wielding maniac serial killer is on the loose. When he writes a letter to The Times-Picayune in New Orleans, claiming that he is a demon and he is writing his letter from hell, citizens of the Big Easy go into panic mood.
Of course, the night wouldn’t be complete without an undertaker that delights in defiling the deceased. We are getting goosebumps already imagining Robert Englund doing the introduction to these chilling segments.
2. Not Another Ghost Hunting Show
Don’t get us wrong, we are HUGE fans of the paranormal and love our ghost hunting series. But, every once in a while, it is good to mix up the programming schedule by adding different content.
This show will attract even more lovers of the supernatural to Travel Channel but it will also give them Englund’s core horror loving audience as well. It is a win-win for everyone involved.
The angle of historical headlines is one that hasn’t been touched upon before so it will definitely intrigue viewers and bring them back for more.
1. Duh! Robert Englund!
Robert Englund is a huge reason why we will be tuning into True Terror. For those of us that have attended conventions, we know just how engaging the actor is when he does his question and answer panels. He always has an interesting story to tell.
Now, we will get the man of our nightmares (and we mean this in the best way) on a weekly basis recounting the sinister side of history. Yes, please!
True Terror begins with Robert Englund on Travel Channel, Wednesday, Mar. 18 at 10 p.m.
