There’s always something special about sharing a movie experience with a loved one, specifically your significant other. The dynamic changes and now you have someone to bounce off of for commentary and analysis of the movie. If the movie is boring and/or bad, then no big deal, just turn it off and spend quality time together instead. It’s a win-win situation for the most part and it can equal to a great experience either way.
One of the most popular types of films to watch on a date night is horror. Horror has always been that genre associated with date nights, just think of all the clichés you’ve heard over the years. How one of you may be so scared that you’ll have no choice, but to seek comfort in your date’s arms (unless they’re scared out of their wits as well, then you’re both screwed). It’s classic “Lovers Lane” material.
While searching for romantic horror movies is a chore without coming up with the usual fare, it was quite the ride choosing romantic horror movies in general for the list. Romantic can mean many things, from stories about relationships to the tone set by the filmmakers.
