15 most romantic horror movies of all-time

6. Thirst (2009)
Directed by Park Chan-wook
Starring Song Kang-ho and Kim Ok-bin
Seriously, what is it about vampires? It’s always nice to find a romantic horror movie that has nothing to do with vampires, but they just keep popping up, further confirming their heavy tie-ins to the romantic genre with their depictions of love and desire. This time, our vampire tale comes from South Korea and director Park Chan-wook, who helmed the likes of Oldboy and The Handmaiden, and stars Song Kang-ho, who you may recognize as Mr. Kim from the international 2019 sensation, Parasite.
Here, Song plays a Catholic priest who provides support for patients at a hospital. He volunteers for a blood transfusion that eventually transforms him into a vampire, who resorts to stealing blood packs from the hospital and engaging in an affair with his best friend’s wife.
Thirst is as twisty and melodramatic as they come, but with an extra edge thanks to its fantastic depiction of the classic vampire story and the multiple creative (and horny) sequences of horror and lust blending together to create an erotic horror-thriller that is just tailor-made for a nice and wholesome movie night.
