10. Jennifer’s Body (2009)

Directed by Karyn Kusama

Starring Jennifer Fox and Amanda Seyfried

We really did everyone who worked on this movie dirty, didn’t we? 2009 was the year of Fox, having surged in popularity thanks to her role in Transformers, as well as being one of the most talked about media personalities at the time, mostly for worst. It was easy to hate on Fox since practically everyone tried making it one of their past times, so the love and care that went into Jennifer’s Body was left mostly unnoticed or straight up hated, despite how genuinely great and even romantic the film turned out to be.

Centering on a high school introvert whose unlikely best friend, popular cheerleader Jennifer, gets transformed into a bloodthirsty vampire with a hankering for people in her high school. While not traditionally romantic, Jennifer’s Body explores the area of friendships and their complicated nature, especially with a vampire thrown in there to spice things up.

It’s fun, quirky, and though it’s very 2009, it’s guaranteed to be a fun date night watch, assuming your partner isn’t spending the majority of the movie gushing over Fox.
