True Terror with Robert Englund premieres on the Travel Channel next month. Check out the sneak peek of the series where frightening headlines from the past come to life.

True Terror with Robert Englund makes its debut on the Travel Channel next month. Horror fans, this is a dream come true. The actor will be hosting this series which will have viewers experiencing frightening headlines from the past in the present.

We were fortunate enough to receive a sneak peek of the show from the network. It definitely does not disappoint. Where else can you see a severed head, a pterodactyl and someone buried alive? And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

There is even a story about a New Orleans teenager who is held captive inside a waking nightmare. Unfortunately, there is nothing he can do to prevent the horrible fate that awaits him. Of course, we can’t help but draw an interesting parallel to a certain franchise starring Mr. Englund.

The best part in addition to all of the frightening recreations that we are going to see on a weekly basis, is Englund himself. Before he became Freddy Krueger in A Nightmare on Elm Street, he was a classically trained actor who performed in revolving repertory theatre for years doing Shakespeare.

His commanding presence coupled with his compelling voice will definitely add a touch of the sinister to True Terror. Let’s face it, Robert Englund is pretty darn close to being a modern-day Vincent Price.

We will go out on a limb and even predict this series will be an instant hit for the Travel Channel. How can it lose? See for yourself.
