Re-Animator and NOS4A2 are just two of the horror titles available on fuboTV. Check out our list of some of the best movies and TV series in the genre on the streaming platform.

Re-Animator is a horror classic from the late, great director, Stuart Gordon. Starring genre icons, Jeffrey Combs and Barbara Crampton, this adaptation of H.P. Lovecraft’s “Herbert West, Re-Animator” is the perfect blend of scares and dark humor.

This film is just one of the selections that streaming service, fuboTV has in its collection. So, if you have binged every Netflix series and tapped out on Shudder, here is a list of some cool movies and TV series to hold your interest while you are sheltering in place.

Re-Animator (1985)

Probably not for the faint of heart, because this flick has its share of gross out moments, this re-telling of the Frankenstein legend is a horror lover’s dream. When Herbert West (Jeffrey Combs) arrives on the campus of Miskatonic University after a tragedy at the Institute of Medicine in Switzerland, it doesn’t take him long to resume his attempts at re-animating corpses with a special “reagent.”

At first, he starts with cats and before you know it, he is progressing to humans. When his rival, Dr. Hill finds out (played with lecherous flamboyance by David Gale) what the young scientist is up to, he makes it his mission to steal Herbert’s research.

Will he succeed or will he end up being another one of Herbert’s experiments?

NOS4A2 (TV 2019)

Zachary Quinto is compelling to watch as Joe Hill’s version of a vampire, Charlie Manx. Feeding off the souls of children to stay immortal, Charlie oozes evil from every pore. However, he will find that his world will become increasingly difficult thanks to the psychically gifted, Vic McQueen.

She is able to unlock portals and traverse the “inscape” where she can help people find lost objects. However, during one of her “visits” she encounters Manx and their dangerous rivalry begins. Will she be able to stop him from trapping youngsters in Christmasland forever?

Christine (1983)

John Carpenter directed this Stephen King adaptation about a boy and his car. Well, it really isn’t as benign as it sounds. Arnie Cunningham is a nerd and constantly gets picked on because of it.

On the way home with his best friend, Dennis, he sees a wrecked 1957 red Plymouth Fury for sale. Instantly smitten with the junk heap, he finds out that she was given the name, Christine by her first owner. He ends up making her his own.

What he doesn’t know is that his baby is very dangerous. Arnie diligently works on restoring her. In the meantime, he starts changing and the once, shy outcast is now a bit brash and dating the girl of his dreams, the lovely Leigh Cabot.

But Christine is Arnie’s one and only. Anyone that tries to get between them and hurt him, is going to pay a very steep price.

Channel Zero (TV 2016)

Channel Zero was a bizarre and chilling anthology series on SyFy. What made it interesting is that it was based on well-known Creepypastas like Candle Cove, The No-End House, Butcher’s Block and The Dream Door. American Horror Story alum, John Carroll Lynch was on the show for six episodes as was iconic actor, Rutger Hauer.

Season 1 focused on Candle Cove which was a fictional children’s TV program that only played to a certain audience and was incredibly disturbing. The No-End House was the subject of Season 2. It was a tale of a renowned dwelling which was an attraction of sorts known for having six terrifying rooms.

The Butcher’s Block was the featured story for Season 3. Alice Woods and her mentally ill sister, Zoe moved to a new town where they became involved with the Peach family beginning an association that will end poorly.

Finally, Season 4 addresses the following question. What if you had a mysterious door in your home that could expose all of your secrets? That is what happens to Jillian and Tom in The Dream Door. Will they be torn apart by what they find or will they stay together?

When a Stranger Calls (1979)

Jill Johnson just wants to earn some extra money by babysitting. However, what happens to her is beyond frightening.

At first, she thinks that she is being prank called when the phone keeps ringing and a mysterious voice asks her if she has “checked the children lately.” Annoyed, she ends up calling the police who trace the call and tell her that it’s coming from inside the house.

As it turns out, Jill narrowly escapes being murdered by a psychopath who butchered the children she was watching over. Years later, newly released from an insane asylum, he targets the adult Jill, her husband and family.
